Geography

Fujairah's geography is quite unique compared to the other emirates in the United Arab Emirates. Here's a breakdown of its key features:

Coastal Location:
Fujairah is the only emirate that sits entirely on the eastern coast of the UAE, bordering the Gulf of Oman . Its coastline stretches for roughly 70 kilometers, offering sandy beaches and beautiful views.

Mountainous Landscape:
Unlike the desert landscapes of most emirates, Fujairah boasts a dramatic backdrop of the Hajar Mountains. These mountains provide a cooler climate and create a scenic contrast to the coastline. Jebel Bu Shayah, the highest peak in the UAE, is located within the Hajar Mountains range in Fujairah.

Wadis and Oases:
Fujairah experiences occasional rainfall, which has carved out wadis or valleys within the mountains. These wadis can transform into temporary rivers during heavy rains and create lush oases where date palms and other vegetation thrive.
